Maintaining a dashing strike rate of 154.23, Afridi has scored 546 runs in 34 matches. Not everyone knows but, Shahid Afridi has also taken the 2nd most wickets in T20 World Cup history (39).
Kevin Pietersen
Probably the best English middle-order batsman of all time, Kevin Pietersen has made the cut on this list. Having a strike rate of 148.33, The tall versatile batter notched up 580 runs in 15 T20 matches with the best score of 79. Pietersen made a valuable 47 off 31 balls to take his team home in the 2010 T20 World Cup final against Australia.
Glenn Maxwell
Australian swashbuckling all-rounder Glenn Maxwell holds the 4th spot in terms of maintaining the highest strike rate in the T20 World Cup, boasting a strike rate of 147.68. The clean hitter from Victoria embarked on the journey of the T20 WC in 2012 and has mustered 446 runs in 24 matches, crossing the 50-run mark twice only. Maxwell likes to smack all kinds of bowlers over the ropes irrespective of the situation which makes him a match-winner in the format.
Jos Buttler
The skipper who guided England to their 2nd T20 World Cup title in Australia in 2022, Jost Buttler made a name for himself in the cricketing world with his batting antics. The Lancashire wicket-keeper batter can change the momentum right from the start with the use of his explosive strokeplay. Having featured in 27 games since 2012, he has amassed 799 runs, bragging an impressive strike rate of 144.48. His highest score in the marquee event has been 101* off 67 balls against Sri Lanka in the 2021 edition.
