INDIA VS AUSTRALIA 1ST ODI HIGHLIGHTS – AUSTRALIA THRASHED INDIA BY 66 RUNS

Despite Shikhar Dhawan and Hardik Pandya’s fifth-wicket partnership of 128 runs India lost the match to Australia by 66 runs at SCG (Sydney Cricket Ground) on 27th November. India vs Australia 1st ODI winner is the Australian cricket team.

Australia has taken a lead of 1-0 in the three-match ODI series. By winning the toss Australia elected to bat first and it was a very good wicket to bat on. They made a partnership of 156 runs for 1st wicket in just 27.5 balls. Indian bowlers let them set initially as most of the balls were bowled with inconsistency. 

Mohammad Shami took the first wicket for India by getting David Warner out at 69 runs and broke their outstanding partnership. 

India couldn’t suppress Australia though, Steven Smith was in good touch today and smashed the Indian bowlers all around the park. He scored a wonderful hundred 105 off 66 balls with the assistance of eleven 4s and four 6s. His century in 62 balls is the third fastest century by an Australian batsman. The fastest Australian to make an ODI century is Glenn Maxwell off 51 balls. Smith shared 108 runs partnership with Aaron Finch for 2nd wicket.  

On the other hand, Aaron Finch made his 17th ODI century (114) and became the second Fastest Australian to notch up 5000 runs during the match in just 126 innings. The fastest Australian is David Warner in 115 innings. 

Glenn Maxwell who had a season to forget in last IPL scored a quickfire of 45 runs in 19 balls with the help of three sixes and 5 4s. 

Among Indian bowlers, Shami bagged 3 wickets for 59 runs in 10 overs, and Saini, Bumrah, and Chahal grabbed one wicket each. Yuzi Chahal conceded 89 runs in 10 overs which was most by an Indian bowler in today’s match.

While chasing a mammoth target of 375 Shikhar Dhawan and Mayank Agarwal made 56 runs for the first wicket.  Captain Kohli was playing well but unfortunately got out (21) off a short pitch delivery by Josh Hazlewood. India lost two wickets back to back in the form of Shreyas Iyer. Afterward, Hardik Pandya arrived on the crease and tackled the bowling lineup of Australia, and scored 90 off 76 balls. He hammered Adam Zampa and Glenn Maxwell badly but couldn’t pull off the win for India. 

Shikhar Dhawan handled India’s batting well but got dismissed by Adam Zampa for 74 runs. Eventually, Australia restricted India for 308 runs in 50 overs. 

Adam Zampa had 4 scalps for 54 runs and Josh Hazlewood took three crucial wickets for 55 runs in 10 overs. Mitchell starc conceded runs with an economy of 7.2 and got one wicket. 

Steven Smith was adjudged Man of the match for his blistering hundred (105).
