Swashbuckling English opener Jonny Bairstow’s 124 off 112 assisted England to take home in India vs England 2nd ODI in Pune on Friday. It was century number 12 for Jonny. England crushed India by 6 wickets, accomplishing the target in only 43.3 overs.

Batting first India posted 338 runs target for England. Skipper Kohli shined again with 66 runs and KL Rahul hit an outstanding hundred (108) to take India over 300 runs. It was Rahul’s 5th ODI hundred. Wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant, who made a comeback in the ODI side didn’t let his team down by scoring a quickfire 77 off 40 balls. For England Topley and Tom Curran took 2 wickets apiece.
In the pursuit of 338 England again made an opening partnership of hundred runs (114). Roy continued his hot form with 52 balls 55. Stokes played one of the best innings of his ODI career (99 off 52). Stokes smacked 10 sixes in his 99 runs innings.
India’s bowling unit again failed to take wickets with the new ball. Young pace sensation Prasidh Krishna bagged 2/58 in his 10 overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar got 1 wicket for 63 runs in his bowling quota. The series is now tie with 1-1.
