INDIA WILL PUT ON 1992 WORLD CUP JERSEY IN INDIA-AUSTRALIA ODI AND T20, SHIKHAR DHAWAN TWEETS PHOTO IN NEW KIT
India will put on 1992 World Cup retro jersey in the upcoming India-Australia ODI and T20 series in Australia which will commence on 27th November. There was a rumor in the air about it before Indian Opener Shikhar Dhawan posted a snap wearing the new Retro jersey of team India.
The color of the jersey is navy blue and has stripes of Red, White, and Green color. The sponsor’s name on this jersey is of Byju’s and MPL sports. The last time India wore this jersey was in the 1992 Cricket World Cup which was held in Australia and New Zealand.
New Zealand and Australia started the swing of wearing Retro jerseys in March 2020. When they played three ODI against each other. They wore the Jersey of the 1999 Cricket World Cup.
India has come on the shores of Australia to play 4 Tests, 3 ODIs & T20s.
Due to restrictions of Covid-19 limited over matches will be played in SCG (Sydney Cricket Ground) and Manuka Oval, Canberra.
India will be playing their first Series since the Pandemic rattled the whole world. India’s last International series was against New Zealand in February 2020. The last time when India met Australia in Australia they won the ODI series by 2-1. MS Dhoni was the player of the series in ODIs.
