KL RAHUL TO MISS BORDER-GAVASKAR TROPHY
In this series, India has faced three injuries so far in the form of Umesh Yadav, Mohammad Shami, and Ishant Sharma.
Umesh Yadav sustained a calf injury during the 2nd test match and went back to India to do rehab at NCA (National Cricket Academy).
Mohammad Shami’s arm was fractured during the 1st test match by a bouncer of Pat Cummins. He has also been sent to India for treatment and later will join NCA to get back to momentum again.
India now has only one main fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and alongside him, Siraj has played his role really well. It will be interesting to see who gets the chance as the third pace bowler in the third test match among Navdeep Saini, Shardul Thakur, and T Natarajan.
The status of the series is tie 1-1 and the third test will begin on 7th January at SCG (Sydney Cricket Ground).
