Afghan wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Shahzad is the first player to score two T20 fifties on the same day, which he scored on 20th January in 2007 against Oman and Ireland at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Mohammad Shahzad has Two T20 Fifties On The Same Day
The first fifty was in the semi-finals of the Desert T20 Challange against Oman, 80 off 60 balls with the help of eight 4’s and three 6’s. The 2nd fifty was against Ireland, where Mohammad Shahzad smashed 52 runs in just 40 balls with a strike-rate of 130. Afganistan won the match by 10 wickets.
Mohammad Shahzad was also the highest run-scorer with 207 runs in just 5 matches.
