Rohit Sharma

Rohit has been a part of the Indian side in all previous editions of the T20 World Cup. Maintaining a good strike rate of 131.30, Rohit has smashed 9 half-centuries too. Sharma contributed 88 runs in 4 games in India’s 2007 campaign, which India won by beating Pakistan in the final. In the last match against Scotland in the 2021 T20 World Cup, Sharma surpassed Kohli to be the top scorer for India in the event.
Yuvraj Singh
The flamboyant Indian white-ball specialist player, Yuvraj Singh has to be on the list for his 593 runs in 31 matches. Yuvi was a good striker of the ball in the T20 World Cup, who can forget his 6 sixes against England in the 2007 season off Stuart Broad’s bowling. His other innings to remember is the semi-final against Australia, smacking 70 runs off 30 balls at an impressive strike rate of 233.33.
MS Dhoni
The first T20 World Cup-winning captain, MS Dhoni occupies 4th position in terms of scoring the most runs in the T20 World Cup. The swashbuckling wicket-keeper batsman accumulated 529 runs in 33 T20 WC games. What amazes the fans is his average of 35.26. 45 runs off 33 balls in the 2007 T20 World Cup against South Africa is Dhoni’s best score in the event.
Gautam Gambhir
Gautam Gambhir, the hero of India’s 2 World Cup finals (2007 T20 World Cup & 2011 World Cup) has notched up the 5th most runs for India in the T20 World Cup. The Delhi-born southpaw has scored 524 runs in 21 matches at a decent average of 26.20. No one can forget his composed 75 off 54 balls against Pakistan in the 2007 T20 World Cup final. Which helped India to win the World Cup.
Virat Kohli has scored the most runs for India in the T20 World Cup (1141 runs).
Gautam Gambhir made the most runs in the 2007 T20 World Cup (227 runs).
