Ex-England batsman Jack Hobbs has made the 2nd most runs in Ashes with 3636 runs in 41 matches (71 innings). The solid English batter maintained an impressive average of 54.26. In terms of smashing centuries, he is in 2nd place with 12 centuries &15 fifties. Hobbs’s highest score in this huge event was 187 off 311 balls at Adelaide.

Steve Smith

The finest Australian test batter after the legendary Sir Don Bradman, Steve Smith has occupied the 3rd spot on the prestigious list of most runs in the Ashes. The backbone of the current Australian batting set-up has 3292 runs in his name at a solid average of 55.79. With a batting technique made by his rigorous hard work and innovation, Smith possesses as a hanging threat to every strong bowling unit in the globe. David Gower

One of the best left-hand batsmen to ever play the game, David Gower was phenomenal in the Ashes. The southpaw has aggregated 3037 runs at a wow average of 46.01. Gower was technically flawless with the bat and could bat all day until a miracle delivery gets him out. The Kent-born player slammed nine 100s & eleven 50s in the Ashes. Gower played the captain’s knock of 215 off 314 balls in Birmingham in 1985 against the likes of Jeff Thomson and Ben McDermott.
