He was also the Man of the Series in the 2003 World Cup with 673 runs in 11 matches, which is also the highest run by any batsman in a single World Cup.

Ex Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was the most number of runs scorer in the 1996 World Cup. He made 523 runs in 7 matches with an average of 87.16. He made the runs with the help of 2 hundred and 3 50s. He was absolutely phenomenal in that World Cup. Despite Sachin’s great run with the bat India ended up in the 4th Position in the tournament.

Former Indian great Rahul Dravid scored the most runs in Cricket World Cup 1999. Dravid made 461 runs in 8 matches with an average of 65.86. He also smashed 2 centuries and 3 half-centuries. His highest score was 152 against Namibia.
