22 years old New Zealand batter Finn Allen has been tested positive in Dhaka after 48 hours of arriving there from England. Finn was playing for Birmingham Phoenix in the recently concluded “Hundred” tournament in England.
He passed all the pre-boarding tests Before getting onto the flight in England and took the Covid-19 vaccine also.
Right now, Finn is in quarantine in a hotel in Dhaka under the supervision of the Bangladeshi team Chief Medical doctor and facing some moderate symptoms. The Bangladeshi medical officer has coordinated with the Kiwi medical officer and informed him about the condition of the right-hand batsman. Blackcaps doctor Pat McHugh will look after him too.
Allen will be able to join his teammates once he completes the required isolation period and tested negative for consecutive days.
New Zealand team manager Mike Sandle has said- “he was in contact with Allen and was confident about the good treatment given to the young cricketer by the Bangladeshi medical team”.
Finn Allen has played 3 T20Is for New Zealand so far after making his debut in the same year and scored 88 runs at an impressive strike rate of 220.00.
The 5 match T20 series between host Bangladesh and New Zealand will kick off on 1st September at Shere Bangla Stadium.
