On this day in 2016, West Indies Won T20 World Cup For The 2nd Time after 2012 by defeating England by 4 wickets. That day one all-rounder made his name in international cricket, Carlos Brathwaite. Brathwaite hit Ben Stokes four sixes in four consecutive balls to fulfill the target of 19 runs, which was needed in the final over. The day probably was the worst day of Ben Stokes’s life.

In the pursuit of 156, West Indies lost their openers, Chris Gayle and Johnson Charles. Part-time spinner Joe Root took the two important wickets. Marlon Samuels was also one of the main reasons behind the chase, who stood up for the team when it mattered the most with his 85 off 66 balls. Dwayne Bravo also assisted the team with 25 runs. But eventually, Brathwaite became the hero for his unbelievable power hitting in the last over, which rewarded the team the crown of the T20 World Cup Winners of 2016 .
Marlon Samuels was conferred the Player of the Match award for his match-winning 85 runs.
