- Indian stalwart Virat Kohli is the highest run-getter in the T20 World Cup with 1141 runs in 27 matches.
- Virat also owns the feat of most runs in a single edition of the T20 WC with 319 runs in 6 innings in 2014.
- Shakib Al Hasan has taken the most wickets in the marquee event with 47 scalps in 36 matches.
- Brett Lee is the first bowler to take a hat-trick in the T20 World Cup, taking it against Bangladesh in 2007.
- Darren Sammy is the only captain to clinch the T20 World Cup twice.
- The highest team total in the T20 WC belongs to Sri Lanka. They scored 260/6 against Kenya in 2007.
- The Netherlands holds the record for the lowest team total in the T20 World Cup, 39 against Sri Lanka in 2014.
