Zaheer Abbas and Rita Luthra

One of the best batsmen Pakistan has ever produced, Zaheer Abbas has represented his country from 1969 to 1985 in 140 international matches, and amassed 7634 runs. Abbas is also known as “Asian Bradman”. He got married to Indian-origin lady Rita Luthra, who used to study interior design in the United Kingdom. The couple met each other in 1980 when Abbas used to play for Gloucestershire. After dating for 8 years, Abbas and Rita tied the knot in 1988 and they have been happily living ever after. 

Glenn Turner and Sukhinder Kaur

Ex Kiwi all-rounder Glenn Turner has married Indian woman Sukhinder Kaur in July 1973. Turner played 82 matches for New Zealand in 14 years (1969-83). With an average of over 40, he scored 4598 runs. Sukhinder Kaur Gill was born in Punjab. She used to be a politician of the Green Party, New Zealand. She was a Mayor of Dunedin province from 1995 to 2004. The couple has two children together-Greg Turner and Brian Turner.

Muttiah Muralitharan and Madhimalar

Arguably the best spinner the world has ever seen, Muttiah Muralitharan has also married an Indian woman, called Madhimalar, daughter of S.Ramamurthy and Nithya. They got married in 2005 in the traditional Tamil style. The couple is blessed with two children. Madhimalar has always supported Murali through his ups and downs. Muralitharan had a great career, is the highest wicket-taker in international cricket (1334 wickets).

Shaun Tait and Mashoom Singha

Former Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait was known for his electrifying pace. Playing 59 matches across all formats in his 12 years of injury-prone career, he bagged 95 wickets. Tait married an Indian origin Mashoom Singha, who is a model, anchor, and wine entrepreneur. They came across each other in a post-IPL party in 2010 and fell in love. The couple officially got mingled in 2014 in Mumbai. 

Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza

Popular Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik married Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza in 2008 in her hometown Hyderabad, it hogged the headline immediately in both countries. They were at their peak form in their respective sports when they decided to be together. Mirza’s family liked Malik a lot. But Sania Mirza has to face backlash for marrying a Pakistani national, as India’s political relation is not good with their neighbor. But they have suppressed their critics by having a healthy married life. Their child, Izhaan Mirza Malik was born in 2018. 

Hasan Ali and Samiya Arzoo

Young Pakistani seamer Hasan Ali is the latest Foreign Cricketer with Indian Wife, Samiya Arzoo. Samiya is from Chandani Village of Hariyana. She works as a flight engineer at Emirates Airlines. Hasan ran into Samiya in Dubai and gradually they turned their friendship into wedlock in 2019. The couple has been blessed with a baby girl, named Helena Hasan Ali. Hasan Ali was the hero of Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2017, taking the most wickets, 13 wickets.
