INDIA VS AUSTRALIA 3RD ODI-INDIA GUARDED THEIR PRIDE, WON THE LAST ODI

In India vs Australia 3rd ODI, India defeated Australia in a thriller on 2nd December at Manuka Oval, Canberra by 13 runs.  With this fighting victory, India avoided whitewash in the series. Thanks to Hardik Pandya (92) and Ravindra Jadeja’s (66) gutsy batting under pressure which helped India to set a commendable target of 303. 

Winning the toss Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman gill started India’s inning well. Shikhar got out by Aussie seamer Sean Abbott for 16 runs. Agar trapped gill in front of the wicket. made 33 runs. Captain Kohli hit the second consecutive half-century (63) in the series, becoming Josh Hazlewood’s prey for the 4th time in a row in the last four matches against Australia. 

Hardik Pandya and Ravindra fabricated a 150 run partnership for the 6th wicket.  Hardik smashed 7 fours and 1 six to score 92 off 76 balls. On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja notched up 66 with the help of 5 fours and 3 sixes. 

Aston Agar did well and returned with 2 for 44 in his bowling quota. Hazlewood, Zampa, and Abbott bagged one wicket apiece. 

Australia came to the crease to clean sweep India with Marnus Labuschagne and skipper Aaron Finch. Debutant T Natarajan castles Labuschagne and provided visitors the early wicket , which they were striving for since the last two matches. 

Aaron Finch kept his consistency with 75 off 82 deliveries, although Survived twice.  Glenn Maxwell again shined who almost snatched the match from India’s pocket with his quickfire 59 runs in 38 balls. 

Indian seamer Shardul Thakur, who played the first match of the series, bagged 3 wickets for 56 runs in 10 overs, including the big wicket of inform batsman Steven Smith. He demonstrated excellent variations throughout the match.  Jaspit Bumrah and T Natarajan grabbed 2 wickets respectively.  

Surely this destructing bowling performance will boost the confidence of India in the upcoming T20 series, starting on 4th December. 

Hardik Pandya was given the Man of the Match award for his valuable 92 in this India vs Australia 3rd ODI.

Steve Smith was adjudged the Man of the Series for scoring 216 runs consisting of 2 tons.
