India vs England 2nd Test: In the 2nd Test of India vs England, India registered another historical win at Lord’s after the heroic at the same venue in 2014 under MS Dhoni’s captaincy. India defeated England by 151 runs. The iconic Lord’s cricket ground saw another spectacular Indian win.

This match saw everything sledging, abuses, aggression, stubbornness. But still, the best India outplayed the host in all departments.
Batting first India scored 364, thanks to KL Rahul’s determined 129 and Rohit Sharma’s 83. England fought back with 391 in the 1st Innings, leaving India behind by 27 runs. Lord’s ground saw one of the best cricket innings of Root’s career. In the pursuit of giving a strong target, India lost 3 top-order batsmen in form of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Centurian KL Rahul. But the 100 runs partnership for the 4th wicket saved India and Bumrah and Shami’s 34* & 56* assisted India to set a target of 252 runs.
The host came in with Sibley and Burns but lost both of them within two overs. English skipper Joe Root tried to support his team with his dependable batting but became the victim of Bumrah just after the tea. Brilliant bowling from Siraj, Ishant, Shami, and Bumrah gave India a lead of 1-0 at Lord’s.
KL Rahul got the Man of the Match award for his stupendous 129 in the first innings.
The 3rd test Will start on 25th August at Headingly.
