Aussie all-rounder Ashleigh Gardener was one of the top choices for every franchise in the 2023 auction for her excellence with both bat and ball. The Gujarat-based team bought her for a large sum of INR 3.2 cr from the base price of INR 50 lacs. Almost every team showed interest in the three-dimensional player but Gujarat Giants had the last laugh. 

Natalie Sciver Burnt 

Experienced English al-rounder Natalie Sciver Burnt gets 3rd place on the list of most expensive players in the WPL. Shafali Verma

The Haryanvi opener boasts a fascinating strike rate of 129.95 in T20Is, she bagged a lucrative deal of INR 2.6 cr from Delhi Capitals in the auction. 

Deepti Sharma 

A fine off-spinner cum a reliable left-hand batsman, Deepti Sharma was in the spotlight in the 2023 IPL auction and UP Warriorz picked the all-rounder for a handsome amount of INR 2.6 cr, winning the intense bidding war with other teams. The Uttar Pradesh-born is also the highest wicket-taker for India in women’s T20.
