Batting first Mumbai Indians set a target of 162 runs, Surya Kumar Yadav amassed 52 runs for Mumbai, while young sensation Tilak Varma contributed with 38 off 27 balls. For KKR, Purple Cap holder Umesh Yadav had the best bowling figure considering the economy, 1/25 in 4 overs.
To fulfill the aim of chasing 162, KKR did not have a great start as Tymal Mills sent back opener Ajinkya Rahane with the short pitch Delivery in the 4th over.
