RCB’s Shepherd Unleashes Carnage: Fastest 50 of IPL 2025!
In a high-octane clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), West Indies powerhouse Romario Shepherd etched his name into IPL history by smashing the fastest fifty of IPL 2025, setting the Chinnaswamy Stadium alight with an astonishing display of power hitting.
Coming in late during the RCB innings, Shepherd unleashed carnage on the CSK bowling attack, reaching his half-century in just 13 balls, equaling the record for the fastest fifty in IPL history. The record was previously held by Yashasvi Jaiswal, who achieved the feat in IPL 2023 while playing for Rajasthan Royals against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Shepherd’s innings featured an incredible assault in the final overs, including a 32-run over against a top CSK pacer. He ended his knock unbeaten, scoring over 50 runs at a staggering strike rate of above 350, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.
His efforts propelled RCB to a formidable total, turning the tide in a match that looked to be swinging in CSK’s favor. The West Indian all-rounder’s performance is now being hailed as one of the greatest finishing acts in IPL history, drawing comparisons with T20 legends like Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers.

- Fastest fifty of IPL 2025 (13 balls)
- Equal-fastest fifty in IPL history (tied with Yashasvi Jaiswal)
