Pakistani youngster Shaheen Shah Afridi is the youngest player (19 years 9 days) to take a 5-wicket haul in the ICC World Cup history. He achieved the feat in the group stage match against Bangladesh at the iconic venue Lord’s on 5th July 2019. 

Shaheen Afridi returned with 6/34 in 9.1 overs while defending the target of 319 runs. From the beginning, he was bowling really well and deceiving the batsmen. His perfect blend of slowers, yorkers, and length balls gifted him six scalps. Afridi finished the World Cup 2019 with 16 wickets in 5 matches, which was also the 4th-highest among all. 

Shaheen Afridi has so far played 25 ODIs and grabbed 50 wickets with an impressive average of 23.18.
