The president of the Asian Cricket Council and honorary Secretary of BCCI, Jay Shah disclosed the schedule of the Asia Cup 2023 which will be played in ODI format on Wednesday, 19th of July. The much anticipated India vs Pakistan clash will take place on 2nd September in Kandy.

Asia Cup 2023 Match Hosted Countries
In total 13 games will be played in this edition where Pakistan will host 4 matches and the rest of the matches will be held in Sri Lanka, including the final on the 17th of September in Colombo. The season opener will be played between the host Pakistan and Nepal on 30th August in Multan.
Asia Cup 2023 Groups
ACC has divided the teams into two groups. Group A comprises India, Pakistan, and Nepal. While Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan are in Group B.
Sri Lanka will kick off their campaign with the battle against Bangladesh in Kandy on the 31st of August. Whereas, Afghanistan will play its first match against Bangladesh in Lahore on 3rd September.
India’s 2nd match will be held on 4th September in Kandy against the northern neighbor Nepal.
After the completion of all six group games, the top 2 teams from each group will make it to the Super 4 stage. Then, they will face each other once and the top 2 teams will lock horns in the grand final on 17th September.
