Having played 19 matches between 2010 to 2022, the prominent batter has amassed 1042 runs at a staggering average of 73.55 with a highest score of 183 against arch-rival Pakistan in the 2012 Asia Cup. aiding India to chase down a massive total of 330 in Mirpur. Rohit Sharma 

The most ferocious opener India has ever produced, current skipper Rohit Sharma finds himself in 2nd place in terms of getting the most runs in the Asia Cup for India with 1016 runs in 31 games he has played. Sharma bats at an overall decent average of 38.33 and his ODI format score is 745, while in the T20 format of the event, he has made 271 runs at a fascinating strike rate of 141.14. The veteran turned people’s heads with his rampage batting in the 2018 edition, scoring 317 runs in 5 matches, including a daddy hundred against Pakistan in Dubai. Sachin Tendulkar

MS Dhoni 

The only Indian captain to win the Asia Cup title in two different formats in 2010 & 2016 respectively, MS Dhoni occupies the 4th position on the tally of most runs in the Asia Cup for India. At a stunning average of 69.00, he amassed 690 runs in 20 innings of 24 games in the event. The most successful captain of India slammed 1 century and 3 half-centuries and 109* remained his best. In the 2008 edition of the tournament, MS Dhoni was in dashing form, making 327 runs in 6 innings. Although, India lost the final to Sri Lanka in Karachi by 100 runs and the stalwart contributed with 49 runs. 

Shikhar Dhawan 

India’s go-to man in the ICC events, Shikhar Dhawan holds a decent record in the Asia Cup too, and is featured in the 5th place on the list. In 13 outings, the Southpaw aggregated 613 runs at a healthy average of 51.08. Shikhar’s dream season in the Asia Cup appeared in 2018 where he ended as the highest run scorer with 342 runs in 5 games, including 2 centuries.
