The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced its 15 members squad for the upcoming 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia on Monday evening. Pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and death over specialist Harshal Patel have also returned to the team.

India has almost made the same squad as the 2022 Asia Cup but the only differences are the return of Bumrah and Harshal and the exclusion of young Avesh Khan, who didn’t have a great Asia Cup.
Rohit Sharma will lead the team with his deputy KL Rahul in India’s 2022 T20 World Cup mission. Despite not having a great run Asia Cup, the management has shown faith in Suryakumar Yadav due to his impeccable ability.
With Kohli’s remarkable comeback, the middle order can do wonders with Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, and Dinesh Karthik.Â
Deepak Hooda, Axar Patel, and Hardik will be the all-rounders for India in their T20 World Cup campaign.Â
Surely, India will miss the services of Sir Ravindra Jadeja as he got injured in his knee in the recently concluded Asia Cup.Â
In the fast bowling department, along with Bumrah and Harshal, experienced campaigner Bhuvneshwar Kumar and young sensation Arshdeep Singh have cemented a place. India has trusted Bhuvneshwar Kumar irrespective of his poor death bowing in the Asia Cup. However, India has guaranteed two options too with Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel.
Mohammad Shami, who was missed dearly in the 2022 Asia Cup in UAE has been added to the squad as a standby player along with Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi, & Deepak Chahar.
