Australian all-rounder Cameron Green became the most expensive player in the 2026 IPL auction as KKR acquired him for a bank breaking INR 25.20 eventually after an intense bidding war with Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, and Chennai Super Kings from a base price of INR 2 cr.

With a price tag of INR 25.20, Cameron Green became the most expensive overseas player in the IPL history by surpassing compatriots Micthell Starc and Pat Cummins who were sold for INR 24.4 cr and 20.50 cr to KKR and SRH respectively.
