20 year old Uttar Pradesh left-arm spinner Prashant Veer and 19 year old Rajasthan wicket-keeper batter Karthik Sharma became the joint most expensive uncapped player in the IPL 2026 and as well as in the entire history when Chennai Super Kings roped in both domestic players for a handsome sum of INR 14.20 cr after a spectacular bidding war with other franchises. Notably, both the players entered the action with a base price of INR 30 lacs. 

Earlier, Avesh Khan was the most expensive uncapped player in 2023 when Lucknow Supergians acquired his services for INR 10 cr in the auction.
