The Board of Control for Cricket in India or BCCI has asked veteran batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to play domestic one day tournament to be in shape and contention for selection in ODI cricket. 

Both the batters have retired from T20I and tests to focus on One Day Internationals being in the last stage of their career. The 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy will begin on 24th December and Rohit Sharma has already informed Mumbai Cricket Association about his desire to take part in the upcoming tournament while Virat Kohli who lives in London nowadays yet to convey anything to DDCA regarding his participation in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
