Former captain of the New Zealand cricket team Kane Williamson has retired from international wicket after his last appearance came in the 2024 T20 World Cup against Papua New Guinea.
Making his debut in 2011, Williamson represented Kiwis in 93 games and amassed 2575 runs at 33.44 with the help of 18 fifties and highest score of 95, ending his career as the second highest run getter for New Zealand. He led Blackcaps in 75 games, winning 39 games. New Zealand reached the semi-finals of 2016 and 2022 T20 World Cup and the final of the 2021 T20 World Cup final under his leadership.
