Dynamite Aussie opener Travis Head smashed the second fastest hundred in the Ashes history during the day 2 of 1st match of the 2025-26 Ashes in Perth on Saturday, touching the 100 run mark in a mere 69 balls before getting dismissed on 123 off 83 balls which helped the hosts to win the match by eight wickets. 

Adam Gilchirst still holds the record for the fastest century in Ashes, scoring it in just 57 balls in Perth in 2006. Head smacked 16 boundaries and 4 maximums in his fiery innings which entertained the 60000 people in the park.
