INDIAN SPEEDSTAR MOHAMMAD SIRAJ’S  FATHER PASSED AWAY IN HYDERABAD

Indian fast bowler, Mohammad Siraj’s father passed away on  20th November, Friday due to Lung disease. For the last one month, SIRAJ’s father Mohammed Ghouse was suffering from breathing problems. He took his last breath at the age of 53 in a hospital in Hyderabad. Siraj learned it after the practice season on Friday in Sydney. 

He was informed about the tragic news by Indian team Head coach Ravi Shastri and captain Virat Kohli. The whole team has imparted him their full support.

Mohammad Siraj is in Australia with Team India for the upcoming four-match Test series. He was selected for the Test series against Australia on 26th October, which will commence from 17th December. 

Mohammed Siraj mentioned- “ I lost the biggest support of my life. He said my father used to say- “ son always make our country proud”. And Siraj has promised that he will definitely do that. He more said, “ his father’s dream was to see him playing in Indian Jersey  And his father was able to see him playing for the country.” 

Siraj’s father had worked really hard to support his son’s cricketing career. He was an auto driver by profession. After Siraj’s jackpot in IPL 2016 auction where he was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 2.6 Crore, took the responsibility of his family on his shoulder at the age of 23. His father was very proud of him. 

MOHAMMED SIRAJ’S FATHER PASSED AWAY, COULDN’T DEPART FOR INDIA 

As the Indian team was practicing in the outskirts of Sydney under tight guidelines of COVID-19, it was not possible for Siraj to go to Hyderabad for his father’s last rites. The Indian team is under a 14 day quarantine period right now. So Siraj is certainly heartbroken after hearing this saddening news of the demise of his father. 

Siraj was part of RCB( Royal Challengers Bangalore) in IPL 2020. After the match against KKR on 21st October where he bagged 3 wickets for 8 runs in four overs divulged that “ his father is unwell and facing breathing problems. He is mentally disturbed after hearing this.  He can’t even go home to meet him. His father cries whenever he talks to him, due to this he can’t talk to his father for a long time. It makes him dejected every time. 

Siraj had 11 scalps in 8 matches in IPL 2020, with a best of 3 for 8 runs against KKR.
