Having played 36 games, Smith scored 12 centuries and equaled English legend Jack Hobb’s century tally with the spectacular 110 at Lord’s in the 2023 Ashes. At a captivating average of 55.79, the New South Wales born has racked up 3292 runs. He is the one who could go close or break Sir Don’s feat of most Ashes tons.

The 2nd highest run-getter in the history of Ashes, English batsman Jack Hobbs got 12 centuries, which is the 3rd most in Ashes history. Hobbs is the only batter from England to have 10 or more centuries in the competition. 

Steve Waugh

His tally of runs also consisted of 14 fifties. The reliable middle-order batter played a sensational knock of 177^ in the 1989 edition of the Ashes which remained his best score in the tournament.
