Indian Premier League is the most desirable cricket league in the world. In IPL, BCCI often makes batting-friendly flat wickets to make the game-high scoring and it is no different in other franchise events. Early swing and potent spin bowling regularly hurt batsmen in the IPL, hence a batter has to be comfortable in managing spin and seam bowling both in order to score runs consistently. Numerous great T20 specialists have appeared in the IPL, but only some have been able to make it to the fastest 1000 runs in the IPL tally.

Shaun Marsh
Swashbuckling Australian Opener Shaun Marsh is leading the list of the fastest 1000 runs in IPL. Marsh represented the Punjab Kings previously known as Kings Xi Punjab from 2008-2017. With his gritty and aggressive batting, the southpaw achieved the feat in just 21 innings and credit goes to his remarkable outing with the bat in the 2008 IPL season where he finished as the highest run-getter (616 runs in 11 matches).
Lendl Simmons
Caribbean T20 star Lendl Simmons completed 1000 IPL runs in just 23 innings, which is the 2nd fastest in IPL history. The Trinidadian stalwart played 4 seasons for the 5 times Champions Mumbai Indians. Simmons averaged an impressive 39.95 in his short IPL career. He proved his worth in the final of the 2015 IPL, amassing a significant 68 off 45 balls at Eden Gardens which aided Mumbai Indians to post 202 runs and register a thumping victory.
Matthew Hayden
Australian batting maestro, Matthew Hayden finds himself in 3rd place in terms of getting the fastest 1000 runs in IPL. Having appeared in 25 innings, the flashy opener reached the 1000 runs mark in the popular Indian Premier League. Hayden had three memorable stints with the Chennai Super Kings in IPL, amassing 1107 runs in 32 matches at a healthy strike rate of 137.52.
Jonny Bairstow
One of the Mahaan openers of the modern era, Jonny Bairstow has been a successful player in IPL and therefore gets featured in the 4th spot on the elite list of fastest 1000 runs in IPL. It took only 26 innings for fatal attacking opener Bairstow to accomplish this milestone. The ace batter has exhibited a great batting display so far in the event with 1291 runs in 39 matches at a fascinating strike rate of 142.65.
Chris Gayle
It is almost impossible to not have T20 legend, Chris Gayle on this premium tally of the fastest 1000 runs in IPL. The gigantic Caribbean power-hitter touched the feat in his 27th IPL innings. Gayle needs no introduction as bashing every bowler around the park was his forte. The trailblazer from Jamaica has scored so consistently and barbarically, leading him to become the 7th highest run-getter in IPL history (4965).
