SRH posted a massive total of 266 in 20 overs and won the game by 67 runs after bowling DC out for 199 runs. 

Kolkata Knight Riders (105/0)

Before SRH, Kolkata Knight Riders holds the record for the highest runs in the powerplay in IPL. They achieved the feat in 2017 against RCB in Bengaluru. It was the insane power-hitting from Sunil Narine (54 in 17 balls) and Chris Lynn (50 in 22 balls) that made it happen. The visitors were chasing a decent total of 159 runs and the opening duo’s explosive batting display helped them to get it done within 15.1 overs. 

Chennai Super Kings (100/2)

Chennai Super Kings recorded the third-highest runs in the powerplay in the IPL during the 2nd qualifier of IPL 2014 in Mumbai. The Yellow Army was chasing 227 runs and in the first six overs they reached 100 with the loss of two wickets on the back of Raina’s blitz of 87 runs off 25 balls, the most runs by a batsman in the powerplay in IPL. Despite a brisk start, CSK fell 24 runs short and could not make it to the finals. It was the maiden instance of a team scoring 100 runs in the first six overs in the competition. 

Chennai Super Kings (90/0)

The fourth-highest runs in the powerplay in the IPL emerged during a chase of CSK during the 2015 edition against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium. In the pursuit of 184 runs, the visitors dismantled the MI bowling lineup throughout the match. CSK openers, Dwayne Smith and Brendon McCullum took them to 90/0 in six overs, having scored at a strike rate above 200. CSK went past the target in the 17th over by six wickets.
