He bashed 26 maximums in his 23 outings, including 532 runs at a staggering strike rate of 140.74. 

Sanath Jayasuriya

The highest-run getter in the event, Sanath Jayasuriya has hammered the 2nd most sixes in Asia Cup history. In the late 90s and early 2000s, the dynamite Lankan opener would not show any mercy to the bowlers in the powerplay as well as in middle and death overs. The Southpaw hit 23 sixes in 25 games he played in the competition along with 139 boundaries, the highest by any batter. 

Suresh Raina
