Ranji Trophy is the pinnacle of cricket tournaments in India. Every promising cricketer has to play Ranji Trophy in the initial stage of their career to showcase their talent. Wasim Jaffer
Mumbaikar Wasim Jaffer has scored the most runs in Ranji Trophy history. Having made his Ranji Debut in 1996-97, Jaffer went on to play till the 2019-20 season. The right-hand ace batter amassed 12038 runs, which includes 40 amazing centuries also. Jaffer’s elegance, perseverance, and technique took him to the Indian dressing room too, playing 31 test matches for his country.
Amol Majumdar
Another Legend of the Mumbai Cricket Association, Amol Majumdar gets 2nd position in making the highest run in Ranji Trophy history. Amol had 20 years of Ranji Trophy career (1993-2013), where he played 15 years for Mumbai (1993-2009), 3 years for Assam (2009-2011), and 2 years for Andhra Pradesh (2011-2013). The veteran batsman notched up 12038 runs in the Ranji Trophy, while he made a fantastic 260 on his Ranji debut against Haryana in the 1993-94 season.
Devendra Bundela
Hailing from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Devendra Bundela finds himself in the 3rd spot in terms of getting the most runs in the Ranji Trophy with 9201 runs. From 1995 to 2018, Bundela hit 26 centuries and 54 fifties for Madhya Pradesh. Despite performing so well in the Ranji Trophy, Devendra never got a call-up for the Indian cap.
Yashpal Singh
With 8700 runs, Sikkim and Services right-hand batsman, Yashpal Singh is featured in 4th place on the tally of highest run in Ranj Trophy history. Yashpal dominated the Ranji Trophy from 2001-02 to 2019-20. With his medium-pace bowling, Yashpal got 40+ wickets too.
Paras Dogra
Coming From Himachal Pradesh, right-hand batsman Paras Dogra seals 5th place on the list of Players with highest runs in Ranji Cricket. Playing his first Ranji Trophy match for Himachal Pradesh in 2001, Paras accumulated 8699 runs in this marque event. The classy batter has also the most double centuries in Ranji Trophy (8).
