Having the best test average of 99.94 in tests, Bradman has amassed 6996 runs. His highest score was 334 in test cricket. Along with double hundreds, he has scored 29 hundreds and 13 fifties. 

Kumar Sangakkara 

Former Srilankan wicket-keeper batsman, Kumar Sangakkara, stands in 2nd place in terms of having the most double centuries(11) in Test cricket. Sangakkara also owns the record of making 6th highest runs in test, 12400 runs in 134 games (233 innings). His test average was 57.16 along with that he has smacked thirty-eight 100s and fifty-two 50s. He used to be a prize wicket for bowlers as he could bat for a long time. 

Brian Lara

The ex-Caribbean skipper Brian Lara has scored the 3rd most double hundreds in tests with nine 200s in 131 matches (232 innings). In his 16 years of test career, he accumulated 11953 runs with a captivating average of 52.88. Lara dominated an era of the longest format of the game with his flawless batting. His 400* against England in 2004 is the highest ever score in Tests. 

Wally Hammond

Former English right-arm batsman Wally Hammond gets the 4th position in the chart of most double hundreds in tests with seven 200s in 85 matches (140 innings). At the end of his career, he notched up 7249 runs at a commendable average of 58.45. Not everyone knows but this legendary batsman scored 50551 runs in 634 first-class games. His best innings in the test was of unbeaten 336 runs. 

Virat Kohli

Current Indian captain Virat Kohli is the only active player who has made it to the list of top 10 players with the most 200s (7) in Test cricket. The all format player from Delhi has amassed 7547 runs in 92 games (155 innings), including 27 centuries and 25 fifties. His highest score 254* came up against South Africa in 2019.
