Most Run Outs In IPL History

Fielding has always been significant in cricket like batting and bowling. Because it is not assured that a bowler or batsman will take wickets or make runs in every match. But fielding is completely in each individual’s hands. So it makes a huge difference in a match. Good fielding can make or break a match. We have seen many times that a run-out miss or catch miss has cost a team very much. Like in the 2011 Cricket World Cup Pakistan missed 6 catches of Sachin Tendulkar and he departed after scoring 85 runs. As a result, Pakistan lost the semi-final and was eliminated from the World Cup. Today we are gonna discuss the players with the most run-outs in IPL history. 

Ravindra Jadeja-Carried Out Most Run Outs In IPL

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has done the most number of run-outs (24) in the history of IPL (Indian Premier League). Jadeja currently plays for Chennai Super Kings. Previously he has represented Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Lions. He has so far played 240 matches and scored 2929 runs along with 160 wickets. Jadeja has also grabbed 103 catches. Jadeja is the best fielder in the world lately. He has been known for doing miracles with his spectacular fielding. 

Virat Kohli

Current Indian and RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) captain Virat Kohli is involved in the 2nd most number of run-outs (22) in the IPL. Virat has been playing for RCB since 2008. In 250 matches he has amassed 8004 runs and has apprehended 113 catches. The fit batter is also one of the best fielders around the world. 

Suresh Raina 

Former Indian middle-order batsman Suresh Raina has committed the 3rd most number of run-outs (15) in the Indian Premier League. Raina took part in the IPL for 14 long years (2008-2021) He notched up 5528 runs in 205 matches at a commendable strike rate of 0f 136.36. And who doesn’t remember his acrobatics on the field, The southpaw also holds the record of having the most catches in IPL history with 109 catches.

Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey finds himself in 4th place in terms of effecting the most run-outs (15) in the most lucrative franchise leagues (IPL) in the world. Manish’s current IPL team is Delhi Capitals. His prior teams were Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Lucknow Supergiants. He has scored 3850 runs in 172 IPL matches and grabbed 83 catches so far. 

Dwayne Bravo

The highest wicket-taker in IPL history is amazing in all three departments and has found 5th place on the elite list of most run-outs in IPL. With his compatible fielding and spectacular flex on the park, the Caribbean legend effected 15 run-outs in 161 IPL games. The veteran player with all-around ability Bid adieu to IPL in December 2022 and joined CSK as a bowling coach for the 2023 IPL.
