The 2021-23 World Test Championship will be concluded with the final between mighty Australia and consistent India. Being the 2nd installment of the tournament, it started in mid-2021 and all 9 teams played 10 matches at least in the 2 years circle. Pace bowlers have impressed the most in this edition and two prominent spinners disturbed batters as always with their magic. In this article, we will contemplate the bowlers with the most wickets in the World Test Championship, 2021-23.

Nathan Lyon
The spearhead of the Australian bowling unit last 2 years, Nathan Lyon has taken the most wickets in the World Test Championship, 2021-23. Representing his country in 19 matches, the classy off-spinner has bagged 83 wickets at a decent average of 26.97. Lyon’s run in this WTC has not been less than a dream, taking 16 wickets in 4 matches in 2021-22 Ashes and 22 wickets in the 2023 Border-Gavaskar Trophy helped Australia richly to get the ultimate spot.
Kagiso Rabada
South Africa’s finest express bowler, Kagiso Rabada gets 2nd place on the elite chart of most wickets in the World Test Championship (2021-23). Rabada was in terrific form this WTC season, featuring only 13 matches, the Johannesburg born bagged 67 wickets at an excellent strike rate of 34.80. He claimed 3 fifers, including 6 for 50 against West Indies which helped South Africa to beat West Indies by 87 runs. It’s unfortunate for the cricket fans not to see him in the finals.
Ravi Ashwin
One of the main reasons behind India’s qualification in the last two WTC finals, Ravichandran Ashwin occupies the 3rd spot on the most wickets in the 2021-23 World Test Championship tally. At a commendable average of 19.67, the spin wizard has 61 scalps in 13 games in his name. The Tamilnadu boy took almost 5 wickets in every outing and was the highest wicket-taker in the recently folded Border-Gavaskar Trophy with 25 wickets. He surpassed the 5 wickets mark 2 times in these 2 years.
James Anderson
The highest wicket-taker among pacers in tests, James Anderson accumulated 58 wickets on 15 occasions for England, which is the 4th most wickets in the World Test Championship 2021-23. The ace fast bowler averaged a fine 20.37, while his strike rate was 53.72. Anderson carries the England team on his shoulder and always performs in important matches. His superb swinging bowling aided him to grab 2 fifers and four 4-wicket hauls.
Ollie Robinson
Ollie Robinson made his test debut against India and since then he has been a diamond for the English bowling setup. In his first series, Robinson destroyed Indian batters with his impeccable swinging deliveries, snapping 21 wickets which was the 2nd highest in the series. The Sussex seamer created hazards for every team he played against and his outstanding 46.18 bowling strike rate and 3 fifers boast about it.
