India had hosted the tournament after the 1996 Cricket World Cup. The 2011 Cricket World Cup was the pressure World Cup for team India because of being the home team. it was Sachin Tendulkar’s last World Cup so, all Indian players wanted to win it for God of Cricket. Tendulkar made 482 runs in 9 innings with a captivating average of 53.55 and with the assistance of 2 half-centuries and 2 centuries.
Top-order batter Gautam Gambhir was the 2nd highest run-scorer in the event with 393 runs in 9 games, including the important 97 against Sri Lanka in the finals. SACHIN TENDULKAR HIGHEST RUN SCORER AGAINST ENGLAND
So In the second match against England India won the toss & elected to bat first at M.Chinnaswamy stadium. Sachin Tendulkar made a spectacular hundred against England. His 115 balls 120 helped India to set a mammoth score of 338. Sachin hit 10 fours & 5 sixes to make the brilliant hundred with a 104 strike rate. Although India was unable to win the match & ended up drawing the match in the dramatic last over.
HIGHEST RUN SCORER SACHIN TENDULKAR AGAINST SOUTH AFRICA
Sachin Tendulkar smashed a stupendous hundred against South Africa at Nagpur. During chasing down the score of 300 India got packed at 296. Sachin Tendulkar’s 101 balls 111 went in vain. He hammered all the African bowlers all around the park, and his exceptional batting flabbergasted them. He smashed 8 fours & 3 sixes in the match.
SACHIN TENDULKAR AGAINST AUSTRALIA
In the quarter-final match where India was keen to beat Australia, Sachin Tendulkar scored a crucial knock of 53 runs off 68 balls at Ahmadabad with the help of seven fours. He scored a good score against the best bowling up of the tournament. Brett Lee & Mitchell Johnson was throwing canon at the batsmen during the match. So With Yuvraj Singh’s fifty & Sachin’s half-century, India won the match and eliminated Australia from the 2011 World Cup.
SACHIN TENDULKAR AGAINST PAKISTAN
India faced Pakistan in the semifinal match, it was one of the best matches of the tournament. In this match also Sachin continued to dominate Pakistani bowlers right from the beginning. He scored 85 off 115 balls with 11 fours. India secured a score of 260, and Pakistan got bundled for 231 runs at Mohali. Pakistan’s poor fielding & batting cost them the match. India knocked out Pakistan to get into the finals against Sri Lanka.
